Coaching Staff

Carlos Vega – Head Coach

Carlos comes to us from Kenyon College were he majored in Economics and went on to earn a Masters from UMass – Amherst in Sport Management.  While at Kenyon, Carlos earned 11 All-American honors, was the 2002 National Champion in the 200 Fly, was a member on 4 National Champion relays, and was a member of a National Record holding relay (400 Medley Relay).

Carlos has served as an assistant coach at Amherst College, Kalamazoo College and Case Western.  He has also worked for IMG in the golf division as a client service associate, consulting executive and an LPGA international travel coordinator.  He has a tremendous understanding of our sport and a keen knowledge of the sports industry.

Christopher Card – Founder/Substitute Coach

Chris Card is the founder of Wellesley Masters Swimming and is the former assistant coach of Wellesley College Swimming. Chris came to the Wellesley area after earning a degree in Finance from the University of Maine where he captained the UMaine Men’s Swim Team. Chris continues to work for Wellesley College as a purchasing specialist and will be returning to the Wellesley Masters as a honorary member shortly.

Bonnie Dix – Program Advisor/Substitute Coach
Bonnie Dix has been the Head Coach of Wellesley College Swimming for 23 years and will be acting in an advising role for Wellesley Masters Swimming. Coach Dix has produced 19 NCAA National Qualifiers, 10 All-Americans and two New England Champions. Her advice has been an invaluable asset to the Masters progra
