Swimming Clinics
In the fall of 2009 Wellesley College hosted two great swim clinics at the Chandler Pool. The first, Competitive Hydrodynamics, featured coach and engineer Gary Sturdy, who gave attendees a different interpretation of how a swimmer’s body interacts with the water. The second, The Wellesley Swim Clinic ’09, featured Olympic Coach Jonty Skinner and Olympic Gold Medalist BJ Bedford Miller. Jonty and BJ gave participants a comprehensive description of proper competitive strokes and worked with swimmers in the water to encourage excellent stroke mechanics.
